With over two decades of experience spanning government, nonprofit, higher education, construction, and financial services, Terence McLemore is a seasoned business compliance and risk management expert. As President of McLemoreConsult LLC, he brings unmatched insight into internal audit, forensic accounting, and regulatory compliance tailored to organizations that must meet both local and federal requirements.
Terence’s career includes 11 years at the Internal Revenue Service as a Revenue Agent, where he led examinations of complex business entities, enforced federal tax law, and identified fraud indicators. His transition into private consulting has supported high-profile engagements with organizations such as Wayne County Airport Authority, Wayne County Community College District, and Gregory Terrell & Co. CPAs. Terence has audited over $150 million in capital assets, overseen compliance with OMB Uniform Guidance, and led due diligence projects for investment firms, always with a focus on transparency, accountability, and risk mitigation.
He holds a Bachelor of Business minoring in Accountancy from Walsh College, is a member of the AICPA and the National Association of Black Accountants, and is known for his ability to bridge public and private sector best practices.
